I am a software engineer with a Masters in Aerospace Engineering. I am described as highly personable, technical and a compelling communicator in cross-functional teams. I have experience in designing REST APIs and using Postgres SQL. Having led DevOps practices, I am passionate for developer velocity. My experience is multi-disciplinary, as a former Automation Consultant and Research Contractor I have customer-focussed on-call experience and an openness to be adaptable when solving problems. I write testable code in Python and Typescript, and am keen to apply them at my new role.
Currently working on passion projects, around maps, graph networks and personal tools. I am learning about WebGL and rust to harness hardware acceleration and Web Assembly (WASM). I love container-based, test-driven, Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) and use Docker, Jest and Cypress development workflows. I am also working through a Data Structures and Algorithmβs course by Colt Steele.
I am also working on my own projects. I have an interest in algorithms, spatial computing, and find problems towards climate, urban living and knowledge management energising. I have authored:
I also maintain a public cheatsheet and solved computing problems repositories on GitHub to capture my coding journey.
Present
Currently using Typescript and Python to create full-stack applications. I have two active projects currently in development:
Projects | Β |
---|---|
Grocery Tracking App | |
TfL Live Map |
In addition, I am using and recently started using to create reproducible development environments. For quality control, I am using and a range of linters, as well continuously deploying pull requests into production.
Beyond this, I am learning Rust to eventually write WebAssembly-, and wgpu-based modules to integrate in the web apps. I think using hardware acceleration to create compelling client-side features is an exciting area.

Among the 1% to be offered a full-time, fully-funded, intensive programme to collaborate and develop software engineering and leadership skills. I strive to build intuitive tools that provide high Developer (DX) and User Experience (UX).
As a strong team member, I have built several full stack (PERN) applications in teams of 2-4 people. My leaderships involve running daily stand-ups, managing feature / bug tickets on Kanban boards, holding team retros and designing mock-ups on Figma.
I love good writeups, and grow my colleagues technically by answering Linux, Git, Command-Line, React, PostGres, Typescript, Node Express, and AWS Workspace community questions in Slack and Discord channels. Presented 3 times in our community tech comms.

Integral member of cross-functional scrum teams with direct communication lines to customers. With Python, C# and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), I delivered solutions to save hundreds of Full-Time Employee backlogs. I was the main contact for Azure DevOps and developed agile strategies for new projects. I managed client expectations when on-call and championed test-driven RPA.
